Rather than upgrading an existing system built on older technology, we generally recommend moving to Ajax. Although older brands state they are network ready or capable, their protocols are old (legacy) and often have difficulty keeping a stable connection with modern WIFI 6 networks.Ajax is built for the way homes are managed today - remote access, real-time notifications, and easy maintenance - and it's more cost-effective long term than continuing to patch an older system with parts that are, in reality, still old technology.

It depends on the system in your home. If your electric lock is connected to an alarm system with battery backup, you can typically expect between 10 and 72 hours of backup, depending on the specific battery setup. For homes without a security system, we can often find solutions with battery backups, if required. The best approach is to talk to us about your specific situation - we'll always find a solution that works.
